Schakowsky on Ethics

Rep. Jan Schakowsy, (D-Il) had been notably silent in her campaign blog on the Abramoff corruption scandal, just posting a cartoon on the subject the other day, with no comment. Now she has broken her official silence, as a member of the Dem leadership:

U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky, a Chief Deputy Democratic Whip, today released the following statement following the unveiling of the Congressional Democrats’ Honest Leadership and Open Government Act. In addition to supporting the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act, Representative Schakowsky is a co-sponsor of the Special Interest Lobbying and Ethics Accountability Act.
In her bid for the job, Schakowsky in December (12-10) cited her qualifications, describing herself as:

someone who has become a prolific fundraiser thanks to my dedicated and generous supporters, a uniter and not a divider. I am emphasizing my years of experience with progressive organizations...

Perhaps she is talking about her supporter and experience in the "progressive" organization, the Illinois Public Action Fund, run by her husband Bob Creamer the felon, who last August pled guilty to tax violations and bank fraud and will be sentenced next month.

I would thank someone to explain to me what is Bill Marowitz close relationship with Jan Schkowsky going to do with his legal $68,000.00 self payment as State Central Committeeman? I do not get it, I thought State Central Committeeman is a none paying position? The 9th Congressional District is up for bid, to the highest bidder. Russ Stewart did an article on this. Illinois is a swampland of Corruption. I hope Bill Marowitz just drops out and avoids the Federal Scrutiny.
