Hillary, Where's the Beef?

(Or does she only know Cattle Futures.)

And from the leftist Village Voice, more on Hillary's record, post-Clinton administration, pre-Senate.

Ms. Hillary has some explaining to do about her record, but in a speech last month kicking off her presidential campaign, went on the attack.
Hillary Clinton: "I predict to you that this administration will go down in history as one of the worst that has ever governed our country."
Ms. Senator Clinton offered no facts to back up her statement, apparently leaving that to her feminist friends in the mainstream media, like Margaret Carlson who predictably got it wrong comparing the Bush to the Clinton administration (you'd think writing for Bloomberg she'd look at the financial news once in a while).

Here's Charlotte Allen, of the Independent Women's Forum, on Hillary and Margaret's outbursts:
Margaret’s history, economics, geology, and arithmetic are all a little off-base, of course (did anyone say "ditzy woman"?). Then, as now, the top fifth of all U.S. earners pays four-fifths of all tax--and now, as then, it’s mathematically impossible for middle-income families earning, say, $75,000 a year, to pay lower taxes than millionaires. The stock market started its post-tech-bubble dive in early 2000, when Bill was still in office--and from all reports, the economy happens to be humming right now. And believe it or not, Margaret, the ice cap didn’t start melting when George W. Bush took his oath of office in January 2001.

Finally, take a poll on what the American public thinks about eavesdropping on folks with Al Qaeda on the other end of their phone lines, or on whether it’s OK to lock up and play real loud Cristina Aguileira songs into the ears of those suspected to have been in on the 9/11 massacre.

Just saying it doesn't make it so, Hillary. That might have worked for Bill, but it won't for you.

Sound bites with no substance are no substitute for sound ideas.

So Hillary, Where's the Beef?

Politician's never let facts (or the lack of them) get in the way of a good talking point...

HRB is a classic case of saying anything to promote her political career, which if we really, really get lucky, will be mercifully short.
