Are the Brits Going Wobbly?

Trevor Kavanagh in The Sun lays out the case to recognize the legitimacy of the Iranian resistance, who have been branded terrorists by the Iranian regime, with the acquiescence of European negotiators. Via Iran Focus:
Now, as brave Iranian citizens are tortured and slaughtered for standing up to the evil regime, Europe is effectively helping the mullahs destroy them.

By branding the PMOI terrorist, they give police squads authority to round up and murder them.
The vast majority of ordinary Iranians despise the Islamic zealots running Iran.

The population are young, bright and ambitious to join the enlightened, prosperous West. They are appalled by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's threat to wipe Israel off the map.

And thousands courageously risk their lives to make their protests public.

Yet the West looks on as the regime crushes these "terrorists" acts with unimaginable brutality.
And from Reuters:
With no clear sign the United States can win U.N. support for sanctions against Iran, the Bush administration said on Tuesday it could work instead with like-minded nations to punish Tehran for its nuclear programs.

The United States, which has its own sanctions on the Islamic republic, is lobbying for the United Nations Security Council to impose international sanctions on Iran but faces resistance from veto holders Russia and China.

"If for whatever reason the council couldn't fulfill its responsibilities, then I think it would be incumbent on us, and I'm sure we would press ahead to ask other countries or other groups of countries to impose those sanctions," U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton told a House of Representatives government reform subcommittee.

We can't ignore Iran, the government's very existence is based on terror. Let's hope we have some allies in this effort. (With the British elections and the French in disarray it will not be easy.)
