Meeks' political aspirations have become one of the most fascinating parlor games of Illinois politics, and his announcement suggests he is moving ever closer toward a November run against Gov. Blagojevich and Republican Judy Baar Topinka.The well-known South Side pastor declined to divulge who he has secured for a ticket but indicated his running mate is not black. Associates said he was looking for a white, female Catholic to be his lieutenant governor candidate.
