Honey Moon

Today is the the Summer solstice, the longest day of the year! There are festivities at Stonehenge to mark the occasion, and on this side of the Atlantic we find a few ways to celebrate ourselves. The Sun Times, as befits its name, gives a nod to the day, which includes a quiz on how to tell if you are are a Druid, and this snippet:
In pagan tradition, the midsummer moon is called the "Honey Moon" because of the traditional honey mead drunk at all the wedding ceremonies held on the summer solstice.
They give a recipe for a Happy Honey Cocktail with grapefruit juice as one of the ingredients. Sounds dubious to me. Here is some background and some traditional honey mead versions, but if you're making it from scratch, you're too late. I'll probably just have a little champagne.
