PlameOut Fallout

More on PlameOut from Steve Huntley, Sun Times, questioning the role of Chicago-based US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald. (Earlier post here.):
So, at the very least, 31 months ago Fitzgerald knew who was responsible for "the alleged unauthorized disclosure of a CIA employee's identity" to Novak and that Armitage did it without malice.

Case solved. Or so it would seem to any reasonable observer.

Yet Fitzgerald soldiered on, spending taxpayer dollars and indicting just one unfortunate soul, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, an aide to Vice President Dick Cheney. Libby was not indicted for leaking Plame's name but for obstruction of justice and perjury for what may end up being no more than his having recollections about conversations with journalists that differed from those the reporters recalled.

Huntley asks why and asks Fitgerald for an explanation. A reasonable request. Has justice been served?
