Protect The Vote

Saw this story late yesterday on a proposed Illinois bill to require photo IDs to combat vote fraud. Opponents claim it's unconsitutional, but it seems a common sense approach to me to protect legitimate voters from being disenfranchised. A similar Indiana law has been upheld by the courts.

Diane at Respublica covers this as well, with special insight, as some of the most blatant vote fraud in the country took place around East St. Louis, Illinois. And as Cook County does not require photo-IDs at the polls, who knows how many fraudulent votes have been cast?
