Wal-Mart Shoppers

Liberals love to posture as champions of the common man employed at Wal-Mart and "not being paid a living wage", but betray themselves for the elitists they are by never shopping there. They wouldn't be caught dead at Wal-Mart---too common. That's why they don't know who does shop there---127 million people. Jonah Goldberg:
This bonfire of buffoonery is helping me learn to love Wal-Mart. First, let’s talk politics. More people shop at Wal-Mart every week (127 million) than voted in the 2004 presidential election, according to a company website. They are disproportionately low-income folks who, by some estimates, are collectively saving hundreds of billions of dollars by shopping there.
So next time you hear a Democrat bash Wal-Mart ask them if they shop there. And if they actually claim they do (lies, lies), suggest, as one friend of mine did, that they give the cashier an extra $20 on the way out. If enough liberals do this, the problem is solved. Then again, maybe not. There might not be enough of them. And we know they're cheap charitable givers---it's only other people's money they like to toss around.
