Romney Gathers Support

McCain appears on Letterman last night, but ducks CPAC. (Agenda) Note to McCain---you need to win the Republican primary first. Both Giuliani and Romney will be there.

My Man Mitt podcasting at CPAC. Mitt picks up the endorsement of one of conservative America's favorite sheriffs, the man from Maricopa County, Arizona who shames prisoners into better behavior by mandating pink prison garb. That and more background here.

In other coverage, constructive criticism of the Mitt healthcare plan, and a good interview with Romney at the RCP Blog. I liked this quote:
But I think as you look at American presidents, more important than their policy was their character, and those who brought something to the American spirit are ones who we remember with affection and admiration for generations.
Part of Governor Romney's appeal is his family---he married his high school sweetheart, and his can do attitude, which led to such success in the private sector, and won over many in Massachusetts.
