Bloodsucker Blagojevich

From Sen. Bill Brady:
When legislators left Springfield last week, the governor’s gross receipts tax – the largest by far of any Illinois tax hike – threatened to take more than $6 billion from the pockets of Illinois business and consumers. But when the details of his gargantuan tax hike became known, the governor’s proposal had grown overnight by $1.3 billion and now amounts to a $7.6 billion hit on the state’s economy, a tax bill of more than $600 for every man, woman and child in the state.
It's not just the business community who is up in arms. In an unusual step, the Illinois Press Association opposes the move, as do Illinois farmers.
