Corner on Coffee

A Wilmette retailer complains another retailer may drive him out of business, whining to the Tribune.

A no frills coffee shop is set to open in the Wilmette CTA station, pending Village Board approval, and the Alchemy owner who sells stuff like Starbucks wants to block it.

Over by the train station you have the opposite situation, with an existing train station shop threatened by a new Starbucks.

No one can corner the market on coffee, and that's a good thing. So take your choice, and drop by for a cup. And for a bonus, one of my favorites, Java Jive, sung by Manhattan Transfer (in Brazil, how appropriate)
