Rezko an Issue for Obama

Obama gives up questionable donation from indicted contributor. Up on AP, carried all over the country and beyond. But wait---no coverage in the NY Times. (tho it's in their sister publication Intl Herald Tribune) Guess that basketball story is a blockbuster, deserving lead coverage for two days and more. And ahoy WaPo? They can pinpoint Obama's whereabouts on the Left Coast, but no mention of this story.

Ali Ata, the former executive director of the Illinois Finance Authority, was charged Thursday with trying to help entrepreneur Antoin Rezko borrow $10 million in a fraud scheme.

Rezko has already been charged with trying to shake down investment firms that wanted to do business with the state, and his personal and financial relationship with Obama has been an issue in the Illinois senator's presidential campaign.

It's official---the liberal AP wire service says it's so---Rezko's an issue for Obama.
