Chicago's Let Them Eat Cake Elite

It's not "don't drink the water" in Chicago. Lake Michigan water is excellent. No, the cry is "don't tax the water...bottles".

You see, too many limousine, er jogging liberals are drinking water out of plastic (collective eco-shudder, except when it's their bottle) bottles, and shunning the City of Chicago's water. Tax revenues are down. So an alderman has suggested taxing the substitute.

What do the let them eat cake elite suggest taxing instead? CBS2 Chicago:
Cardenas also said a bottled water tax would help the environment by dissuading people from buying the plastic bottles that end up in landfills.

But Chicagoans CBS 2 met on the street early Tuesday did not like the idea of the tax.

"Let them tax cigarettes, not water," said Chicago resident Brian Lynch.
There is no end to the sins liberals can tally and tax. Except their own.
