Our lying, antiwar Sen. See Dick Run Durbin is off to the Mideast and South Asia. AP:
"In the coming months, Iraq and the Middle East will be front and center in our national debate," Durbin said in a statement. "This trip will allow us to meet with the region's leaders and see firsthand our progress."The Pakistani government last week rebuked Durbin's Illinois colleague in the Senate, Barack Obama, after the Democratic presidential candidate said he would use military force in Pakistan, a U.S. ally, if necessary to catch terrorists.
For security reasons, Durbin's office did not release details about where the senator will be and when.
Doubtless he took some of the Kossacks along as his security detail. But maybe he doesn't need them either, after all he's Dick Durbin, fighting for YOU, a one-man O-Bomba advance force.
UPDATE: In other Durbin news, Tribune:
Regions-Air is suing the Federal Aviation Administration and U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, alleging they illegally shut down the air carrier that served four Illinois cities.
Regions-Air filed the lawsuit Monday in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C,, seeking $11.6 million plus interest.
