Sarkozy: America is the Greatest Country

President Nicolas Sarkozy of France gives the liberals in Congress an American history lesson.

America is the greatest country in the world.

In America, your only limits are your own courage, your own boldness, your own talents.

In America failure is never the last word.

WWII: "America liberated us".

The Cold War: "America the bulwark of the free world, against a new tyranny."

(He mentions NRA icon Charlton Heston as a great American, you could hear the libs grinding their teeth.)

America's strength is, first of all, a moral strength.

Together we must fight against terror.

We, the free world are not afraid of this new barbarism. America can count on France in this battle on terror. France will stay in Afghanistan for as long as it takes.

Nuclear proliferation is not inevitable. The prospect of an Iran, armed with nuclear weapons, is unacceptable for France. The Iranian people deserve better.

(Ok, he drinks the global warming Kool-Aid, Nancy stands up, applauds wildly, Dems go nuts for the first time)

Affirms his attachment to NATO (a break from past policy) and a European defense.

France as an independent ally, a free partner of America.

And implementing his reforms for a far-sighted France.

Long live the United States, Long live France, Long live French-American friendship. Entire video here.

It made me cry. And from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for thanking us.

I guess they didn't hear the same speech I did. NY Times:
President Nicolas Sarkozy of France was greeted with cheers and standing ovations in the United States Congress today, a sign that France was forgiven for opposing the American-led war in Iraq.
Republicans applauded because Sarkozy is so pro-American. (What a concept, hmm Dems?) Dems were tepid except for global warming.
