Black and Red

Welcome to a new local blogger, sure to be a star! I met J. Thomas Hunter of Black and Red at a political gathering this weekend, and now it's your turn to meet him online. A former liberal, a new convert to conservatism, Hunter is already a force:
In a country so rich with opportunity, growth, and potential for virtually every citizen, it should prove difficult to convince the masses that “the forces of status quo” that John Edwards recently invoked in the most recent Democratic debate, are poised to ruin peoples’ lives. It is even more preposterous to think that politicians, to the tune of John Edwards, are capable of doing more than increase misery by insisting upon punishing the successful through a series of government shakedowns.

There are three basic prerequisites to being a Democrat, whether they, themselves, recognize it or not:

First, you must identify with a victim group. If, by some miracle, you do not fit into one, you may create your own.
