New ABORT Strategy

The abortion is great crowd has adopted a new strategy--overturning state laws in anticipation that Roe v. Wade might be overturned and state laws would then be in force. Got an email on this with a link from a concerned reader about what is going on in our neighboring state of Wisconsin:

The threat is occurring in Wisconsin, but pro-lifers nationwide must take heed. What pro-abortion legislators in the Badger State are trying to accomplish may well foreshadow what we will see on a massive scale in the years to come.

The objective of pro-abortion Wisconsin legislators is the repeal of s.940.04, the 150-year-old protective law that prohibits abortions in Wisconsin except when the mother's life is in danger. Why would they bother to go after a law that cannot be enforced because of Roe v. Wade?

To ask the question is to answer it. Once Roe is tossed into the ashcan of history, the battle over the shape of abortion law returns to the legislative branch.
