"Throughout my life, I have pursued innovation and transformation," Romney said. "It's taught me the vital lessons that come only from experience, from failures and from successes, from the private, public and voluntary sectors, from small and large enterprise, from leading a state, from actually being in the arena, not just talking about it."[snip]Walking the walk not just cheap shot talking the talk.
"Innovation and transformation have been at the heart of America's success," Romney said. "If there ever was a time when innovation and transformation were needed in government, it is now."
And McCain's positions have evolved on immigration and tax cuts, that is why conservatives give him the benefit of the doubt. We will welcome a change in your position on campaign finance "reform" Sen. McCain. I would also add, McCain deserves no special credit for being pro-life from a conservative state. When he ran for governor, Romney promised to uphold existing law in Massachusetts on abortion, but when elected and new issues such as stem cells and gay marriage came up he fought against them, with a Democrat legislature.
But really, who can ever be sure what the maverick McCain's position would be on anything? He has no consistent political philosophy.
We know Governor Romney understands economics and embraces the virtues of the free market. He has practiced this successfully in both the private and public sector.
Governor Romney, an unabashed capitalist, was elected in a liberal Blue State. Quite an amazing innovation. Recall his record, a marvel:Previous post: Debate Wrap-Up
