Bad Baby Names

Bad baby names. No, the baby's not bad. J. Marion Tierney opines.

My dad used to tell the Ima and Ura Hogg stories. We didn't believe him. I guess he was half-right. But it used to scare us kids, like we could be renamed if we weren't good.

P.S. Wasn't John Wayne's real middle name Marion? Oh, it was his first name.

But then I also remember the Swamp Fox--Francis Marion. (Kind of a double whammy there, never thought about it before.)
