Not ready for prime time either.
We don't think he'll ever be ready.
UPDATE: McCain on foreign policy and Obama in Florida. The Caucus:
Asked whether he would meet with the leaders of Cuba under any circumstances, Mr. McCain said: “Absolutely. As soon as the political prisoners are free, human rights organizations are functioning in the State of Florida, and free elections have been held. Then I would sit down with any freely elected president or leader of Cuba.’’
And he continued to criticize Senator Barack Obama, Democrat of Illinois, for stating that he would meet with the leaders of Cuba and other hostile states without preconditions.
“But until that day came I would not in any way, as Senator Obama wants to do, legitimize an individual who has been responsible for education, repression, political prisons and a gulag,’’ he said. “I don’t think that it would be appropriate to legitimize someone like Raul Castro by quote, sitting down with him. And under no circumstance would I do it.’’
Asked if Mr. Obama was naïve, he said: “I don’t know if he is naïve or not. I know he is inexperienced.’’
