Read the Hamas Charter

Last night I went to hear an RJC presentation, which hosted Reed Rubinstein, the attorney who defended Mr. Whitehead of the Anti-CAIR website from a defamation lawsuit filed against him by the Council on American Islamic Relations, otherwise known as CAIR.

Perhaps their acronym gives them some cover in the minds of Americans, but as Mr. Whitehead points out CAIR is a front for the terrorist organization Hamas in the United States. CAIR settled the lawsuit they had initiated rather than subject themselves to in-depth scrutiny. Mr. Rubinstein's firm took this on pro-bono.

A retiree, Mr. Whitehead started the site after Sept. 11th after some of his friends were killed in the Pentagon that day.

I will discuss this more in future posts, but I wanted to direct you to the website which has official government documents from the Holy Land Foundation trial, which will be retried in the coming months. Holy Land allegedly raised money for terrorist activity, even on Sept. 11th. CAIR was their PR arm and enabler.

One thing Mr. Rubinstein said early on struck me. He asked us to read the Hamas charter. MEMRI's translation here. A sampling:
The Role of Muslim Women
Article Seventeen

The role of the Muslim woman in the war of liberation is no less important than that of the man, for she is the maker of men. Her role in guiding and educating the next generation is very important. The enemies have realized [the significance of] her role, and they believe that if they can educate her according to their wishes, guiding her away from Islam, they will have won the war. You find, therefore, that they continually make great efforts [to do this] by means of the media, the cinema and school curricula, through their agents who are incorporated in Zionist organizations that assume various names and forms such as the Freemasons, Rotary Clubs, espionage groups, etc. - all of which are dens of sabotage and saboteurs. These Zionist organizations have an enormous abundance of material resources, which enable them to play their game in [various] societies with the aim of realizing their purpose while Islam is absent from the scene and the Muslims are estranged [from their faith]. The followers of the Islamic movements [10] should fulfill their role in countering the schemes of these saboteurs. When Islam is at the helm, it will totally eradicate these organizations, which are hostile to humanity and to Islam.

Quite a remarkable document.

P.S. Related story in the Tribune here.

And this. Oh, also here. Not to mention this. HT The Bench.
