No Flag Pin Tonight

Final UPDATE: Video from the debate. Ayers clip. Wright clip.
P.S. Shifted to watching the radio and tv correspondents dinner where Mo Rocca seems to be holding a gracious VP Cheney hostage. Makes a Rev. Wright joke-- good for Obama cause on tax day it wasn't just Rev. Wright saying God Damn America. Not much laughter on that from this crowd. Missed the earlier bits, Romney scored big with his top ten reasons for withdrawing from the race--saw it on Greta, excellent!! Raising him in the Veep stakes?

8:56 Hillary seems to have attempted this, but ABC did a pretty good job of raising previously unexplored terrritory on Barack Obama. This is what Tom Bevan, RCP said pre-debate:
So instead of taking the stage tonight and launching a full frontal assault on Obama for being an elitist, Clinton should shift gears and subtly put the proposition before Pennsylvania voters: it seems almost every day we're learning something new and different about Barack Obama. Is he really who he says he is?
And post-debate, Jake Tapper, ABC's senior politico raised this same issue--who is Barack Obama--questions remain. A very polite audience, by the way.

8:41 Hillary is going to come up with ways to USE former presidents. Barack likes H.W. but not W. Grudging

AWK! Stopped blogging but Hillary is on a rampage--she is going to lay the hammer down on market manipulators of gas prices (it doesn't matter that this has never been shown to be widespread. ) Now Barack wants a windfall profits tax. Deja vu Jimmy Carter disaster.

8:12 Hillary wants to invest, read tax, our money.
8:09 Hillary and Obama promise not to raise taxes on the middle class. Charlie Gibson talking supply-side economics (!). Obama says he doesn't want oppressive taxation. Big of him. He want to balance his big spending government budget on our backs. He thinks he's quite the fiscal conservative.
8:04 pm They talked about a nuclear umbrella to protect countries from Iran. Obama stammered over standing by Israel. Oh, and by the way, Iranian-backed Hamas endorsed Obama today.
7:52 Back after the break. This is the toughest questioning of any debate so far on Obama. Ambinder live blogging, earlier here and here, more detail than I since I didn't intend to do this, but pretty surprisingly tough stuff came up on Obama. They're doing Iraq now, so may not have much new ground, unless now they are starting to asking them if they are second-guessing Petraeus. !

7:45 BArack says Bill pardoned Weather Underground members---those eeevil Republicans will attack both of us

7:43 Hillary brings up Ayers and Obama on the same board--the Woods foundation, they set bombs and people died---those Republicans will be raising this--Hillary thinks the Republicans should just forfeit the presidency this round.

7:41 Stephanopoulos brings up Bill Ayers, Obama describes him as an English professor--detestable acts were when Obama was 8--compares his friendship to Ayers to his friendship with Sen. Tom Coburn!!!! That's pretty wrong to compare the two!
***
Obama not wearing the flag pin tonight. The elitist remarks and the Rev. Wright getting lots of play at the debate. Obama on the defensive. Obama brings up the Tammy Wynette, stand by your man thing/no baking cookies on Hillary. No mention of Rezko yet.(But we can always hope:)

Now they turn to Hillary on Tuzla.

Enjoy...

P.S. Kind of a contest on who's revealed the bigger liar.

P.P.S. Poor Barack, he has had moments of "imperfect delivery".
