When I first started blogging in the winter of 2006, I cranked up the country and let fly. I have been known to dance a step or two after pushing the button to post. My women's singing group had our first concert today, at the Morton Grove library. Usually we sing at nursing homes, but once in a while we sing in the neighborhood.
The theme is very American this year, so we sang God Bless America in the middle. An older gentleman rose to his feet and held a salute for the duration. So here's a salute to the troops, and if you've haven't heard the Andrews Sisters in a while, or never, listen to their version of Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. We're not quite that good:) Here's another take for fun:
