Steele for Steve Greenberg

Breaking blog break briefly to alert you to a Steve Greenberg for Congress event in Barrington, Thursday night, May 15th with the former Lt. Governor of Maryland Michael Steele. A true uniter, based on conservative principles, Steele came close to a win in a Democrat year, and is here to help us upset Melissa Bean in the 8th. Apparently Bean shares Obama's elitist and tax and spend attitude, as she is going whole hog in Congress. Bean also voted against the Employee Free Choice Act, allowing union bosses to intimidate their workers. More:
Rather then spending time in the district meeting with constituents and discussing the issues pertinent to their concerns, Melissa Bean has been busy building her war chest by cozying up with Washington lobbyists and special interest groups and campaigning as a surrogate for Barack Obama: Northwest Herald.

Bean is a super delegate committed to Obama, as listed here on Daily Kos, the left wing blog. On primary election night, she refused a request with Channel 7 for a TV interview because she was busy celebrating Obama's primary victory at his downtown election night party. You can watch Channel 7 reporter Kevin Roy discuss this here after his victory interview with Steve.

Although Steve will be committing a substantial amount of his own money to the campaign, he still needs our help as in addition to lobbyists and PACs, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrat leaders have been busy raising money for Bean. Speaker Pelosi has headlined 3 fundraisers for Bean.
Here's the info on the May 15th event: You are cordially invited to the home of Dick Stephenson, 125 Buckley Road, Barrington Hills, IL. Private photo reception, 7:00 p.m. $2,300 per person. General reception 7:30 p.m. $150 per person. Kindly RSVP to rsvp@steveforus.com or 847-726-0808
