I am a terrorist

Chicago ties in the Ohio trial just concluded.
“I am a terrorist. Please add my name to the list of wanted terrorists. I am a Palestinian Muslim from the Army of Mohammed, may Peace be Upon Him. Terrorist, Terrorist, Terrorist, Terrorist, Terrorist, Terrorist, Terrorist!”
From yesterday, Counterterrorism Blog, which summarizes:
This afternoon, a federal jury in Toledo, Ohio has convicted three local men--Mohammad Amawi, Marwan El-Hindi, and Wassim Mazloum--of all criminal charges filed against them, including plotting attacks against U.S. troops fighting in Iraq. The jury took less than two days to render a resounding verdict in the case, which involved one of the largest collections of terrorist propaganda ever to be seized by the FBI on U.S. soil.
Gee, the AP/Tribune neglects to put the above quote in their story. Could it have been an oversight?
Griffin said most people at the mosque shunned him and that no one raised any threats until El-Hindi began talking about kidnapping Israeli soldiers. Amawi, Griffin said, asked him to help him train two recruits from Chicago for holy war.

According to one secret recording made by Griffin, Amawi said he was troubled by the loss of life in New York in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, but he quickly added: "Killing Americans in Iraq is OK."

Griffin testified that he twice traveled to Jordan with Amawi and also taught Amawi and Mazloum how to shoot guns.

El-Hindi told Griffin, according to recordings heard in court, that he knew two cousins who were eager to receive "jihad training." Griffin asked El-Hindi if he was recruiting for jihad. "Oh no, I just want to take these two," El-Hindi answered, adding that he wanted to take care of them for their families.

The two Chicago-area cousins -- Khaleel Ahmed of Chicago and Zubair A. Ahmed of suburban North Chicago -- have pleaded not guilty to conspiring to kill American soldiers and face trial next year.

Amawi, El-Hindi and Mazloum were convicted of conspiring to kill or maim people outside the United States, including military personnel. Amawi and El-Hindi were convicted of distributing information regarding explosives to terrorists. [snip]

Mazloum was a college student who helped his brother run a used-car lot. Amawi once worked at a bakery. And El-Hindi was a married father of seven.
No mention by the Tribune of their earlier reporting, (scroll down) which outlined El-Hindi's Chicago ties. Gee, why didn't they mention what El-Hindi did in Chicago--he ran a travel agency:
The Tribune has reported that El-Hindi, who used to live in the suburbs, ran a travel agency in the Loop near the Dirksen U.S. Courthouse that opened in the late 1990s and closed a few years ago.
The Tribune may think he was just another simple businessman, but why didn't they say so this time? Right near the Courthouse. Maybe that'll get a few judges' attention, at least around here.
And in light of "President" Kennedy's recent Supreme Court ruling, this little tidbit I wrote in that same earlier post:
As you may recall, recently in the UK a "bookshop" owner, released from Gitmo, was arrested before he was able to kidnap and behead a Muslim British soldier who had arrived home after serving in Iraq.
Oh, well, who cares, they're just killing our soldiers, not civilians here. Oh, wait. So Gitmo will probably be shut down, and we can look forward to having the really hardcore terrorists in our US prisons, and our courts.

Any volunteers for jury duty?

UPDATE: Just another innocent, this time a kid supposedly just joyriding with fireworks, pleads guilty. Michelle Malkin. LGF. Gateway Pundit, also a video?!! Meanwhile, the Democrats still haven't fixed FISA.
