Birth of Freedom

The Acton Institute's Birth of Freedom comes to Chicago on Sept. 4th. Tickets are $10 and you can get them here. Trailer below. From the Rev. Robert Sirico:

While some believe that freedom was born when men threw off the shackles of religious faith, The Birth of Freedom appeals to the evidence of history to show that the roots of political and economic history are found in the Judeo-Christian tradition. This film stretches 2500 years, through the rise and fall of great empires, from the fall of Rome to the rise of Europe, and from the birth of capitalism to the abolition of slavery, first in the English colonies and finally in a new nation dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

After the film, you will have the unique opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with myself and Acton media director Jay Richards. It is my sincere hope that we will have the privilege of sharing Acton's message in this compelling new format with you and your friends.
