Obama in Illinois

I finished reading David Freddoso's book over the weekend. It squares with my knowledge of Obama--well written and well sourced.

Freddoso does an excellent job of highlighting Obama's Illinois abortion record, which is getting him in so much trouble these last few days.

I also learned something new about Obama's early foreign policy stance, through a vignette relayed by former state Sen.Patrick O'Malley. Then there's the chapter on pinstripe patronage, where lots of folks get a mention, including Obama's national finance chairman, subprime lender Penny Pritzker, currrent state Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias with Jaws Giorengo, and the ping-pong king, Robert Blackwell, Jr., an underreported story.
