Under the board's final offer, returning teachers who are not yet at the top of the salary schedule would receive average pay raises of 5 percent for each of the next two years. For the last three years of the contract, the average increases would be 5.5 percent a year, according to the School Board. The board said its pay package amounts to an average increase of 26.5 percent over five years, or about 5.3 percent a year.School Board site.
