Obama the Dream Killer

Small business is the job-generator of the US economy. There are hundreds of thousands of businesses that generate $250,000 dollars in income that would be punished under Barack Obama's tax plan--that doesn't mean they draw a paycheck for that amount. This includes Toledo plumber Joe Wurzelbacher who Obama told the other day that he needed to spread the wealth.

Obama views these hard-working Americans as "the rich".

They are the American Dream, and Barack Obama's high tax highway robbery will kill it, for them--and for their employees.

Three out of the four top filers in the top 5% are small business--the most productive, successful and innovative people that we will need to lead us in an economic recovery.

And many of America's small businesses are run by women--it's a good way for women to achieve the flex-time the Dems have been denying them in the workplace for years. (And if you want equal pay--vote GOP).

You can calculate your tax under an Obama administration. Oh, but other people will pay these taxes, right? Don't bet on it.

Barack Obama, dream killer.

UPDATE: Scott at Powerline, "Spread Your Own Wealth Around":

Given that one of the causes of the American Revolution was a tax, the founders understood very well that taxation could become a way for one group to prey on another. So while the Constitution empowered the federal government to levy taxes, it limited this power mostly to indirect taxes like tariffs, duties, and excise taxes. For much of American history the federal government subsisted solely on those fees.

The Constitution did grant the federal government the power to levy "direct" taxes on a "per head" basis, but required that all money raised this way must be given to the states according to their population. The aim here was to preserve a decentralized federal system of rule, and to make it "difficult to place a direct tax on capital, the most destructive tax in terms of economic growth and economic initiative," according to Professor Edward Erler.
