Release the Obama Khalidi Tape, Trib

Gee, Chicago Tribune, last I checked the Tribune owned the LA Times. So what's this hot tape from a Chicago dinner with Barack Obama, Bill Ayers and former PLO terrorist spokesman Rashid Khalidi doing out in LA, hmm? As I recall the Tribune felt it was so important we knew everything about Republican Jack Ryan when he ran for Senate that they pushed a court to bust into his divorce files, against the wishes of both parents who wanted to protect their privacy and that of their then 7 year old son. But that didn't matter, no, no, no. Because who had just won the Democrat primary, after another opponent was accused of trumped up behavior--Barack Obama.

Apparently Barack Obama gets special treatment. Apparently the American people don't need to know who they might vote for. Apparently a news organization isn't interested in reporting news--important from the standpoint of character, and from the standpoint of policy. Foreign policy. Because the rumor is that anti-Semitic statements and solidarity for terrorists were turning the air blue that night.

Yet Sen. Barack Obama maintains now that he is a stalwart on Israel.

Set the record straight, Tribune. Release the Obama Ayers Khalidi tape to the American people. It's the public right to know. That's what the news business used to be all about.
