Barack Wants to Bankrupt Coal

We had Joe the Biden on the rope line quietly dissing coal the other day, Barack blaming farmers for obesity based on some Berkeley elitist's theories--when he was in DC not Des Moines, now we learn he wants to bankrupt the coal industry. Does he say this in Coal City, Tuscola or Mattoon, Illinois? No way. Barack Obama is truly a profile in liberal San Francisco Democrat courage, no question, and this illustrates yet again his radical and punitive approach to our economy. Newsbusters:

Imagine if John McCain had whispered somewhere that he was willing to bankrupt a major industry? Would this declaration not immediately be front page news? Well, Barack Obama actually flat out told the San Francisco Chronicle (SF Gate) that he was willing to see the coal industry go bankrupt in a January 17, 2008 interview. The result? Nothing. This audio interview has been hidden from the public...until now.

Transcript and the rest of their post here. YouTube version:

How about those coal-producing swing states looking for job creation? Plus another clip from the interview--this affects all Americans. HotAir:
In another clip from the same January 2008 interview with the San Francisco Chronicle in which Barack Obama promised to bankrupt anyone foolish enough to build coal-burning power plants, he also made an interesting admission about his entire energy plan. Obama told the editors that his policies would make energy prices “skyrocket” as the energy industry passed along the exorbitant costs of his cap-and-trade policy:
