Chicago public schools on the front page of the WaPo "Chicago School Reform could be U.S. model". Here's a quote:

"This is no utopia. It's no Candy Land," Cameron Principal David B. Kovach said one day this month.

Who knew?

If Duncan takes on the teachers union good for him, but I expect nothing substantive will happen (other than throwing money to the union) and another generation of children will be left behind in the public education dumpster.
