$410 BILLION Omnibus Bill is a PIG

Stop the reckless spending, Congress. Threaten a veto against earmarks and excess, Mr. President--make good on your promises, line by line remember? This bill is a PIG:
“The American people are fed up with this kind of system that breeds corruption,” McCain said, throwing in an allusion to Obama’s own earmarks in the past as a freshman senator from Illinois. “The president should veto this bill and send it back to Congress and tell ’em to clean it up.”
Clean up your act, Democrats. And to those wavering moderate RINOs, we challenge you to do the right thing for your children and grandchildren--stop this now. Remember, Republicans proposed a stimulus bill at half the cost with twice the jobs--making every penny count. We the people are tightening our belts--do your part.

More: Sun Times:

The measure has come under attack from Republicans -- and a handful of Democrats -- who say it is bloated and filled with wasteful, pork-barrel projects.

It contains 7,991 pet projects totaling $5.5 billion, according to calculations by the GOP staff of the House Appropriations Committee.

Several lawmakers took to the floor during the week to defend their projects, including Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), who backed $1.7 million for pig odor research.
