Peraica Pushes Tax Rollback

Is Cook County ripe for reform? The stink of the Stroger sales tax increase is way overripe. One of the few Republican commissioners, Peraica introduced a measure to roll back one of the highest sales taxes in the country. Suddenly, Board President Todd Stroger offered a miniscule cut.
