Prove it, Mahmoud

The President of Iran has asked the national security court to reconsider their 8 year sentence of US journalist Roxana Saberi. NY Times:
Mr. Ahmadinejad, who will be attending an international conference on racism on Monday and is expected to seek re-election in June, may be seeking to cast himself as a defender of human rights, analysts said.
Yeah, well, prove it, let her go. Now. You can do it, Mahmoud. Yes you can.
Meanwhile, Ms. Saberi’s father said in an interview on Sunday that neither she nor her lawyer had been given any notice of her trial last week, which he said lasted less than an hour.
Of course now our President Barack Obama will probably meet with Mahmoud if Iran releases Roxana. No word about stopping their nukes. Cute.

P.S. Oh yes, our President Barack Obama is the new Gorbachev. AP makes the comparison, Don Surber makes some remarks. So I ask, will The One end up at a Moscow think tank--maybe an Iranian one? And what will be our fate?
Gorbachev's attempts at reform as well as summit conferences with United States President Ronald Reagan contributed to the end of the Cold War, ended the political supremacy of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) and led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
Ah, well, he'll be in line for a Nobel Peace Prize.
