He got planning permission and met noise standards but the local powers that be have since reneged as the neighbors complained. So there goes his investment. Plus he was hit with a hefty fine.
This green business is getting very messy. When people are used to using the nanny state to settle neighborly scores there is never an end to it. Perhaps windmill aficionados will have to congregate in their own communities--maybe hang out with some other noisemakers:
