Pirate Party Win in Sweden

Nothing to do with Somalia. Sweden on the radar--this supplants my youthful memories of flower types wandering around half-nude in train stations back in the 70's. It's an interesting mix of socialism--communal property, and a freedom-loving backlash to big brother government. The Pirate Party wins in Sweden:
The Pirate Party captured 7.1 per cent of votes in Sweden, enough to give it a single seat. The party wants to deregulate copyright, abolish the patent system and reduce surveillance on the Internet.
"This is fantastic!" Christian Engstrom, the party's top candidate, said. "This shows that there are a lot of people who think that personal integrity is important and that it matters that we deal with the Internet and the new information society in the right way."
You have to wonder when the young figure out it's their intellectual property that can be stolen. Yes, personal integrity is important.
