Turning over Rocks

Blago's Patti stars starting tonight (her website here), plus more maneuvering by the Senate Ethics Committee in their investigation of Sen. Roland Burris (D-IL) and his quest for the Obama Senate seat, courtesy of Blago. The Politico. They want to go back to April of 2008.

We know taping of Blago's brother Robert didn't begin until October 29th of last year, so who do they want to hear on tape? We know Burris did a fundraiser for Blago last June:
Blagojevich's administration has been beset by investigations and the conviction of Rezko, a onetime top adviser and fund-raiser. But a crowd still turned out, including former Illinois Attorney General Roland Burris, lobbyist Al Ronan and ex-Blagojevich staffer-turned-lobbyist John Wyma. Will they really turn over these rocks though, and let the worms crawl out? I doubt it. We'll have to wait for the Blago trial to find out more. Unless Blago does a slow leak. Patti's show starts tonight. Are worms on the menu?
Ousted Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich was also set to take part but a judge said no.

So now, his wife Patti is taking his place.

"He's doing the things I usually do, making the kids lunch for school, taking the dog out," said Patti Blagojevich.

Meanwhile, she tries to outlast the others in a charity competition.

"Chicago politics is a treacherous place sometimes. Blood sport. Can't imagine I'll find anything in the jungle worse," Blagojevich said.
Um. Well, foresight has not been a strength for this family.
