PRINCETON, NJ -- A Gallup Poll finds a statistically significant increase since last year in the percentage of Americans who describe the Democratic Party's views as being "too liberal," from 39% to 46%. This is the largest percentage saying so since November 1994, after the party's losses in that year's midterm elections.Is it time for a new Contract with America? What's the new majority? Interestingly, a CNN poll highlights the public's concerns about the cost of the Obama plan and skepticism about quality--a lower confidence level than HillaryCare had initially.

A Shift in Sentiment
On the heels of the Rasmussen polling showing Obama sinking into negative territory, another poll should give the Dems some cause for concern. Setting the stage for the next electoral showdown next year--the Obama midterm:
