On healthcare. Videos. Women make 79% of health care decisions for their children and spend two of every three health care dollars for their families.
Yesterday I participated in a call by Republican Congresswomen with bloggers and healthcare professionals. One of my key concerns was that we have doctor shortages now, notably in specialties affecting women's health. The high cost of malpractice insurance hits ob/gyn practitioners hard, many of whom are women--and the Pelosi bill actually penalizes states that have enacted tort reform.
Not suprisingly, 74% of medicare are recipients are women--cuts affect them more.
Women are a key constituency--they vote. And they are paying attention.
