Economy, Energy and Trade

Gloom and doom, and then HOPE!!!

OK, here comes the economy talk.

Brandishing the bank tax.

Taking credit for the stimulus bill as if it worked.

Calling for a new jobs bill TONIGHT! (Oh, you mean the stimulus didn't work after all?)

A nod to business, small business. Eliminate cap gains tax for all small business. That's good.

Bad, still talking about boondoggles like high speed rail and phony green jobs.

Big whoop, 1000 people doing solar panels.

OK, nuclear power plants, everyone stands up for that.

Offshore oil, that's good. Dems not so sure.

Couples comprehensive energy with climate bill. Cap and trade, are you kidding me?!!! "Overwhelming" scientific consensus?

Going to double exports--how is he going to achieve that? Sounds very Soviet. Just announce it and it will happen.

Is he going to sign the Colombia free trade agreement? I don't think so---OH, shocker, he mentions to strengthen trade with Colombia!!!

Sum--three good things--nuclear and offshore drilling, small business cut in cap gain tax, and Colombia free trade. Some olive branch.
