I don't see the major part. People skip elections all the time. Pat Hughes may have been busy with his family and his business, rather than voting...does this compare with Kirk voting for the cap-n-trade tax?

I don't think you can run for major office if you haven't habitually voted. Sorry.
I can count about 70% of our neighbors, Anne, who spend more time evaluating the next American Idol than the next Senator :-)
I am much more concerned with the way that our legislators vote in Congress than our individual citizens in general elections.
