Local elections.

Fox Chicago.

P.S. Jack Ryan's on WGN providing commentary:) (GOP Senate candidate who withdrew after winning the primary, so did not face Obama)

More. WLS890Chicago (the Rush station), has good tweets:
wlsam890 Jim Allen, spokesman for the Chicago Board of Elections, estimates 25-31% turnout at the polls tonight.
More. Mark Kirk is ahead in the GOP Senate race. Projected to win there.

More. OK, this is important--the Cook County numbers are coming in first--the most Dem. The other two major vote sectors are the collar counties (surrounding Chicago) and downstate.
wlsam890 The numbers we're reporting are for Cook County. Now 2007 out of 2573 precincts reporting (78.00 %)
So the big determinant numbers for the GOP state races are not in yet.

More.
wlsam890 Correction, numbers are from the Chicago Board of Elections.
OK, even more Dem. NOT including suburban Cook. Low turnout in Chicago so they came in fast.

...But if McKenna does well in Chicago, a Dem area, those are votes mined that could give him his slim margin in a crowded field. Damn. Come on suburbs! Come on downstate! (McKenna, the slimy establishment moneybags)

More.
warnerthuston 21% voter turnout in Chicago. This is a joke. This primary is waaaay too early.
Yes. I agree. The machine figured they'd get their people out and screw everyone else. Let's hope enough of our stalwarts got out to do something substantive.

More. With 46% of the results in the governor's race is bunching up--GOP primary.
