Even though it's not the general election and primary voters could not split their ticket, Republican Senate candidate Mark Kirk gets bigger numbers than Dem Chicago Machine candidate Alexi Giannoulias. RCP video Kirk speech.
Given Giannoulias' family Broadway Bank scandal, his poor handling of the college savings Bright Start fund, the Granny Grifter case, and his past associations with mobster Jaws Giorango and convicted felon (but still not sentenced) Tony Rezko, lots of Dem voters will walk away from him or vote for Kirk. Alexi, Illinois Shame. Banker to Tony Rezko and Barack Obama from way back.
The NRSC is already out with an ad.
P.S. And how about that Obama ad endorsing Alexi when he first ran. Obama made the difference to get this slimeball in.
