Please, no more "disinterested" Scherman quotes

The Wilmette Life story on the failed $174 million hog of a New Trier referendum features a generous quote in support from one Tim Scherman of Wilmette, whom the paper describes as a Professor of English at Northeastern Illinois University. They do not mention he is a former Wilmette school board member. Nor do they mention he was head of the teachers' union negotiations at NIU. I believe the Wilmette Life featured Prof. Scherman on their cover at one time, roasting weenies for the faculty BBQ, even as he was negotiating on behalf of the taxpayers (haha) of Wilmette as the school board representative on a new teachers' contract.

I suppose since he no longer serves on Wilmette's board he'll end up on New Trier's. Al Dolinko made the leap. Or perhaps on the faculty there. Six figure salaries are common and it would be a shorter commute.

P.S. UPDATE: School Board Rescinds iPod Giveaway Plan...
