Senate numbers come out tomorrow.New poll shows Bill Brady is in touch with Illinois voters
In recent days Governor Quinn's campaign has taken a turn for the worse, relying entirely on negativity designed to divert attention away from his abysmal record on the economy and ethics reform that was necessary after the Blagojevich/Quinn administration. Yet, today’s Rasmussen poll shows state Senator Bill Brady is up by 10 points - a sign Quinn’s strategy is going to backfire.
Independent polling by Rasmussen Reports shows Brady with a double digit lead over Quinn, leading 47-37 percent among likely voters. Years of special interest politics and closed door deals brought us 11 percent unemployment and a $13 billion budget hole. Illinoisans want jobs and reform and Quinn knows that his policies are deeply unpopular as evidenced by the 56 percent of voters who view him unfavorably.
Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady said Senator Brady's commitment and voting record shows he’s in line with Illinois voters.
“First and foremost, Illinoisans want jobs and reform. As an experienced business leader, Brady’s record shows he shares these values with the great majority of Illinois citizens and has the know how to bring economic growth and honest government to Illinois,” said Chairman Brady. “The people of Illinois deserve a campaign about the issues that matter to Illinoisans and that’s exactly what Brady is offering.”
