No, that's left to David Axelrod and our President Barack Obama who have said, to put it kindly, contradictory things to the American people, sometimes in the same interview. So perhaps you should apply your words to yourselves:
"Saying one thing to one audience and something different to another may be standard operating procedure in Washington, but it rightly frustrates people in Illinois and across the country. It's not the kind of politics we need.Axelrod would have done better to handle the president's interview himself yesterday.
And let Alexi Giannoulias campaign for himself, if he can. (Why is Alexi sweating?)
More. From the Tribune story:
Democrats argue that people will see immediate benefits through the controversial health care bill that's under debate in the House, including increased transparency from insurers.
Hahaha. We haven't even seen the bill yet. We don't have transparency from these Dem clowns in Congress--why would we get transparency from Big Brother ObamaCare?
Kirk spokesman Eric Elk said the congressman's remarks "reflect the concerns of many Americans that the current health care bill would chart an unsustainable fiscal course for our country resulting in higher debt, more taxes and fewer jobs."Pretty much everyone knows this. And it won't fix the main problem with healthcare--rising costs which make it less affordable. That's why the bill is overwhelmingly unpopular.
