This is Nanny-state Britain

Father stopped from taking picture of his son, 4, on children's train ride 'in case he was a paedophile'

And the dad even has a hyphenated name. Perfectly respectable.

Are people going to have to carry their passports and their kid's to go to the mall?

You have to prove you are not a criminal?

P.S. What would Mr. Conductor have to say about this? Will they take Mr. Conductor's word for it?

I read that too, mildly amusing but not surprising in Britain these days. A well known TV presenter was threatened by police for brandishing a knife in order to ward off an intruder on her own property several weeks ago and an old lady was arrested by police for poking a hoodie in the chest when he made a nuisance of himself in front of her house.
