I live in your district and wish to obtain answers from you regarding information in this June 25, 2010 "Big Government" article about an FY2009 federal earmark you introduced that was intended to fund the Save-A-Life Foundation (SALF): http://bit.ly/cb4pWo
1) What was the dollar amount of the intended earmark?
2) Why were you funding an organization that years before had been the subject of four Chicago ABC7 exposes?
3) What is your relationship with the charity’s founder/president Carol J. Spizzirri, a convicted shoplifter who obtained millions in federal and IL state funds over the years?
4) Do you think SALF should be investigated in order to determine if those millions were properly spent?
