Benishek in Michigan

Remember another Dem who bowed out rather than face the wrath of the voters--Bart Stupak of Michigan's 1st congressional. Republican Dan Benishek, a doctor, had the guts and compassion for his patients and taxpayers alike to challenge Stupak before it became an open seat.

Benishek has the added challenge of an independent in the race, though thankfully the wealthy Wilson's plans to self-fund have fallen through.

Let's support Dan Benishek, folks. Enough is Enough.

Powerline looks at the race as well.

More. From the Benishek campaign:
We are excited to announce that Dr. Benishek has been named a "Young Gun"! This distinction places our campaign in the top tier of Republican candidates running in this year's midterm election by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC)--the organization responsible for regaining a Republican majority in Congress.

As further evidence of the great interest in this race, Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX)--the leader of the NRCC--will be visiting Michigan this weekend to campaign with Dr. Benishek.

With your continued support, we are confident that Dr. Benishek will be the next Congressman from Michigan's 1st District. Please visit our website to learn more and contribute to our efforts.
